Betaine HCl + Pepsin Support for Digestion

Digestive support built around betaine HCl, pepsin, bromelain, and L-glutamic acid.

Gastro Plus is a meal-time digestive supplement designed to support stomach acidity, protein digestion, and nutrient absorption. Each capsule provides 500 mg of betaine HCl and 50 mg of pepsin.

How Betaine HCl and Pepsin Support Digestion

Gastro Plus works by boosting your stomach's acid levels, which are essential for both effective digestion and nutrient absorption. An adequately acidic environment is vital for sterilizing the gut and keeping it free from harmful bacteria, fungi, and other pathogens

The Necessity of Stomach Acid:

Your stomach needs to maintain an acidic environment to function optimally. Contrary to popular belief, stomach acidity is not detrimental; it's essential for breaking down food and facilitating the absorption of essential nutrients. With age, hydrochloric acid production diminishes, and by the time we reach 60, we may produce only half the acid we did at 18. This decline can lead to issues like bloating, gas, constipation, and gastric reflux.

Health Implications of Low Acid Levels:

  • Gut Infections: Inadequate stomach acid can make you susceptible to infections from bacteria, viruses, and fungi present in food.
  • Reduced Protein Absorption: A lack of stomach acid can hamper your body's ability to absorb proteins, affecting muscle mass.
  • Muscle Pain/Spasms: Low acid levels can also interfere with the absorption of calcium and magnesium, leading to muscle pain and cramps.
  • Low Energy Levels: Insufficient acid levels can affect the absorption of magnesium, an essential mineral for energy production.

Your Digestive Health Advocate:

Gastro Plus is a targeted solution designed to tackle the root cause of common digestive issues.

Note: this product is contraindicated for those with high stomach acid levels. If you are unsure, we always recommend consulting your healthcare provider for a complete digestive assessment before incorporating Gastro Plus into your routine.
